My husband Felix is a wonderful partner to me and a loving “dad” to our fur child Juniper. He’s a devoted son, brother and friend, an avid hobby cyclist, and a dedicated and skillful psychotherapist.  And Felix needs a kidney.

Unfortunately, neither myself nor anyone else in Felix’s immediate family are suitable donors. When Felix was struggling with addiction year ago, he had the courage to ask for help from his family and many incredible and generous friends who he met along the way.  He threw himself into the challenging work of recovery and came out on the other side.  Now, almost 19 years sober, Felix has been able to use the lessons he gained through recovery, as well as his boundless compassion for others, to become a skilled and respected psychotherapist, specializing in addiction and complex mental health issues.  Not only has he excelled in his own recovery, but he has gone on to help countless others in their challenges with addiction and mental health.  But that’s who Felix is.  If someone is in need, whether it’s his closest friend or a total stranger, he wants to help.  And now Felix needs to do something that doesn’t come as naturally to him – he needs to ask for help in the form of a living kidney donor.

Please consider sharing this site widely and have a look at the resources linked regarding living kidney donation. Your courage and generosity could mean everything for our family or another family like ours.
